Happy Feet

104 Minutes | 2006 | English | Village Roadshow | George Miller | G

Written by: George Miller, John Collee, Judy Morris, Warren Coleman

Starring: Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Brittany Murphy, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Hugo Weaving, Anthony LaPaglia, Magda Szubanski, Steve Irwin

An emperor penguin named Mumble must go on an epic adventure after being cast out of his homeland for being different. Mumble is a great dancer but a terrible singer, which will leave him without a mate and brings the wrath of the emperor penguin leaders who fear Mumble is causing their food to disappear.

Yes, this movie is as cute as you remember. A solid cast and great song choices, as well as a beautiful story, make this a treat for all ages. There is also a great message about being yourself (and also a sustainability message too!). While all of the cast are wonderful, the standouts are definitely the late Brittany Murphy with her wonderful voice and of course the amazing, late Robin Williams - every line he utters in both of his roles, as Ramon the Adelie penguin and Lovelace the Rockhopper penguin, will have you laughing.

Great Line: "Hello! I know size can be daunting but don't be afraid... I love you... I LOVE YOU!"
